We currently host three WIRES-X rooms. The main room is FREEWAY-FUSION room # 43422 hosted by N6UTC in Long Beach and, FREEWAY-605 # 28048 hosted by KK6ZTV in Los Alamitos. FREEWAY-605 also acts as a back up room to our sister group the Wales Digital Radio Group & our third room is FREEWAY-405 # 02060 hosted by N6UTC in Long Beach. FREEWAY-FUSION can be accessed via RF on 431.675 in the area surrounding the 710 & 91 freeway interchange and also on 431.500 in the surrounding area of the 605 & 405 freeway interchange.
Wide-Coverage Internet Enhancement System (WIRES) is a de facto standard created by Yaesu designed to link compatible WIRES-X radios and repeaters over VOIP, allowing individual stations to contact each other over VOIP. WIRES-X supports C4FM digital and voice technology that enables high sound quality.

Using the WIRES-X Portable Digital Node (PDN) function you can operate a WIRES-X digital node station by directly connecting a compatible C4FM radio with a PC.
WIRES-X enabled repeaters in the local area plus the WIRES-X rooms they are connected to by default
